Spring Tips

As the weather gets warmer, it's the perfect time for an electric check-up around your house or business.  Here are the top three things you can do to be more safe electrically this spring:

upgrade if you're overloading

Many residential fires begin with overloaded electrical circuits. Do you have the wiring you need to handle all of the appliances and gadgets you've added over the years? If you're not sure, we can help determine if you are at risk.

check for frayed cords

Take a close look at the cords on your tools (like weed whackers and trimmers) and appliances (like vacuum cleaners and lamps), and examine them for any damage. If you don't have experience, do not attempt to splice or tape them!

change batteries in detectors

Spring is a great time to switch out the batteries and test your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Properly installed alarms prevent injuries and save lives!
